We are now looking for a Quality Engineer to join our quality team. The final location for this position in the long-term can be in Salo, Finland or in Shenzhen, China. The job requires occasional travelling.

As a Quality Engineer you will be an essential member in our quality team in the center of the fundamental operative processes. You get to work in an inspiring international work environment with the world class optical professionals.


The key responsibilities will be:

  • Effectively manage customer and supplier claims and follow through corrective and preventive actions in co-operation with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Defining needed optical, mechanical and environmental tests for specific cases and also executing needed quality inspections and tests.

  • Contributing to LEDiL product quality throughout the product life cycle, including; participation to DFMEA work, quality data analysis, managing quality improvement activities with suppliers and sharing lessons learned.

  • Participating supplier audits and internal audits

  • You support business units, sales and engineering in quality matters. You will also closely collaborate with operations, laboratory and logistics teams.


  • What do we expect from you?

    Our Quality Engineer has a degree in quality, industrial, or mechanical engineering. A minimum of 3 years of work experience in quality assurance in international manufacturing environment is required. You are experienced with various problem-solving tools and methods and you have analytical and customer focused mindset. You also have the ability to see the big picture in your work. Your personal characteristics include excellent co-operation and communication skills, initiative, and flexibility – you are a team player.


    We also appreciate following skills:

  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles

  • Understanding of relevant quality standards, e.g. ISO9001 and ISO14001

  • Problem solving and logical thinking skills are essential as well as proactive and systematic working style, and strong drive to reach results

  • You can co-operate in multi-cultural environment and you are fluent in English, both written and oral.

  • You can manage several parallel tasks and you adapt into changing situations well

  • Knowledge of plastics materials and injection molding

  • Experience of sustainability aspects is seen as a benefit
