How HEKLA-KONNTAKT works?
HEKLA–KONNTAKT shifts customisation to the final step, maximising flexibility and eliminating the need to pre assemble or stock multiple luminaire variants. This approach lets manufacturers complete housings and wiring earlier in production, while final LED configuration happens later.
🔹Step 1 ‒ Produce or source the luminaire as a KONNTAKT fixture
This is the stage where the pre‑cabling of KONNTAKT parts takes place. It can be performed at an earlier production site, separate from the facility that completes Step 2. You simply stock the base luminaire equipped with the KONNTAKT interface, with no LED, optics, or beam‑angle decisions required yet.
🔹Step 2 ‒ Add COBs, HEKLA–KONNTAKT modules, and optics as needed
Usually done closer to the market, once real customer or project needs are known.
At this stage you simply attach:
– the HEKLA–KONNTAKT module with the selected COB
– the chosen LEDiL HEKLA lens or reflector
The process is fast and tool‑simple ‒ only a screwdriver needed.
🔹Step 3 ‒ Deliver or install the finished luminaire
After quick configuration, the luminaire is ready for installation.

Compatibility
HEKLA‑KONNTAKT is fully aligned with LEDiL HEKLA and designed to deliver broad, reliable compatibility with LEDiL lenses and reflectors. This ensures smooth integration into a wide range of luminaire designs without the need for customised mechanical parts or additional adapters.
There are seven HEKLA‑KONNTAKT variants, each optimised for different COBs to provide secure fastening, consistent thermal contact and robust long‑term performance. For detailed COB‑specific information, the full compatibility guide is available here.
KONNTAKT parts are ordered separately, and two pieces are required per module to complete the assembly. This modular approach supports flexible luminaire configuration, late‑stage customisation, and easier inventory handling.
