QDo lenses designed to be made of PMMA work if made of polycarbonate and vice versa?ADifference in the refractive indexes of PMMA and polycarbonate may cause the light pattern to change. The optical performance of lenses made of alternative materials should be simulated and evaluated case by case. For more information please contact tech support
-
QCan an injection mold designed for PMMA or polycarbonate be used for silicone and vice versa?ANo. The equipment and processes for manufacturing silicone lenses are very different from those used for thermoplastics.
-
QCan LEDiL standard optics be modified to meet customer specific requirements?AIn general, yes. Finding a cost effective solution requires knowledge of both the product and tooling.
